Well, sadly, there have only been two people in my relatively short life (I'm still in school peoples) that have stood out to me as extravagant Christians. Only two. But, these two people exhibited extreme patience in every situation, were the kindest people I have ever met, were liked by everyone, and they were totally on the right track with God, you could tell. And that almost made up for the fact that there were only two. Almost, but not quite. I want to be one of those people. That people can look up to, and say, "Oh, that's what a Christian is. I want to be like them." And it's hard. I don't know how these people can do it. But, I'm trying. I want to have, on people, the great influence they had on me as a Christian. So, I'm working hard.
And this blog is one way I'm trying. I'll post my interpretations of verses. But-and this is a big warning-, absolutely do not take anything I say for granted. I'm still a budding Christian, and what I say isn't certified or anything, I don't have some kind of theology degree. This is just what I think the verse means. In my head.
Now, you might wonder, What's a Christian? Or, How do you become a Christian? Well, it's real simple. The one my bible illustrates is The FAITH Plan. I do like it, it's very understandable, which is good. And, I didn't write it, I don't know who did. I hope I'm not breaking any kind of copyright.
The FAITH Plan: Forsaking All I Trust Him
Ephesians 1:7 - In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
But how can a sinful person enter heaven, when God allows no sin?

The FAITH Plan: Forsaking All I Trust Him
F- Forgiveness
We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God's forgiveness.Ephesians 1:7 - In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
A- Available
Forgiveness is available. It is:- Available for all.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- But not automatic.
Matthew 7:21a - “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven
I- Impossible
It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.- Because of who He is: God is loving and just. His judgment is against sin.
James 2:13 - because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
- Because of who we are: Every person is a sinner.
Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
But how can a sinful person enter heaven, when God allows no sin?
T- Turn
Turn means to repent.- Turn from something: Sin and self.
Luke 13:3b - But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
- Turn to Someone: Trust Christ only.
Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
H- Heaven
Heaven is eternal life.- Here.
John 10:10b - I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
- Hereafter.
John 14:3 - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
How can a person have God's forgiveness, heaven and eternal life, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord? By trusting in Christ and asking Him for forgiveness.
If you want to take that step, pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I know I an a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I believe You died for my sin and only through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day on, I will follow You by living a life that pleases You. Thank You, Lord Jesus for saving me. Amen.
Congratulations! If you have just said that prayer. You are now a born-again Christian, and I am your sister in Christ! I highly suggest you find a church home if you don't already have one, tell your pastor about your decision, and get baptized! Ask your preacher about getting baptized today!
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask me. You have my email through my profile, or you can leave a comment and be anonymous. Let me know if you would like me to pray for you, or if I can help you in any way.
I like it. It's a small step for a baby Christian, but eventually you'll get there - the top of the spiritual hill. May God bless you with wisdom from the heaven. "Trust in the Lord wit all your hear, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your way acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
