More Than Just Politics

Abortion.
It's a heavy word, best to avoid talking about when at school, coffee shops, or even church congregations sometimes.
Right?
But it's more than a subject a politician can argue the rights and wrongs of in order to get votes from a particular group of citizens that agree.
What does the Bible say about abortion?
First of all, what does the dictionary say? "The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy."
Termination = Murder
Abortion. Is murder.
Some may argue that abortion isn't murder because a pregnancy, a forming child in a mother's womb, isn't an actual human capable of death.
Psalms 139:16 states "Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in Your book and planned before a single one of them began."
A child, unborn or not, is a child. It has a soul. God has a plan for them. God already knows them.
My Bible, an Apologetic Study Bible, states some very good questions to challenge with.
If the unborn child is growing, how could she/he not be alive?
If she/he has human parents, how could the child not be human?
Not to mention that the pictures from an ultrasound as the baby is maturing, before birth, those pictures show life. A growing child, waiting to be brought into the world.
Some may argue that abortion isn't MURDER, period.
The Lord commands, "Do not murder."
Murder, be it of a child unborn, is murder. Murder is the killing of innocent human beings. Tell me, how could a child, still being "knit together" by God, be guilty, or anything but innocent?
Some may argue that abortion be allowed for rape or incest.
Well, do two wrongs make a right?
Just because the person who committed the crime inflicted something on the victim, does the victim have the right allow the murder of a child, even unborn?
If a victim murdered the child who was a result of the crime once the child was born and grown, would that not be considered murder?

The final point: Abortion is wrong. Sometimes, people may find an excuse for it, but it is wrong.

Abortion is a heavy matter, and I may be risking a lot by piecing apart and back together this issue. Feel free to write, tweet, or comment me your opinions and I will be sure to get back to you. Or if you don't agree with something I write, get to me and I would be very willing to discuss with you.
