Okay, so I came to my senses and realized that maybe my Storisomes had been buried under other posts. So, I am giving you guys another piece of my precious writing, in hopes that with the more readers we have accumulated, I will get more feedback. So, with no more "much ado about nothing," here you go.

"–You think about it! Paparazzi will be all over me, I’ll be moved to someplace in California or New York or something like that, and I won’t even be able to take a walk with privacy! Besides, they wouldn’t even care about you. Some rich couple with no feelings would probably adopt me just to steal my fame. Some up-shot actors with no humility. Then you would be stuck here alone with Pauline and I’d be stuck somewhere else a thousand miles away!”
“Well then, why’d you show him your stack?” he said. That was so like him. One minute he’ll be celebrating something and the next he’ll be blaming me for the same thing once he figures out it’s not a good thing. Mark’s my thirteen-year-old brother, by the way. He looked after me (which was hardly even necessary) before Pauline found us in the cardboard shack we were left in (by who, we don’t know) in a dark alleyway in Bayonne, New Jersey and took us in. But after it became apparent that I was very precocious, which didn’t take long, she decided that I needed a quiet life to think. So which better place for that than Wyoming, the least populated state in America? Well, then here in Wyoming she put her cooking skills to use and opened a restaurant. No one ever comes but we kind of liked it that way. You’re probably wondering how we make a living then. Well, when the food truck comes over every three months we always pay by my stories or something. I wrote them under a pseudonym and they can sell them for big money. Yeah, I really don’t care that much for fame, though, as you can tell, but the food truck guys are still honorable enough not to sell them as their own. (Or maybe they’re just scared they’ll be asked to write stuff they can’t and then people will think they’re plagiarists.) So, that way we have enough essentials to live and each other and we’re just happy that way. But now this Todd Hadden guy has ruined all of that.
“Who was I to think that he was a columnist?” I retorted.
“Oh great, because you wanted to be a show-off, we’re dead. I’ll go tell Pauline that you’re going off to some big shot city while we sit here and rot.”
“I wasn’t trying to be a show-off! Why do you always have to blame everything on me?! The guy was curious! So I let him look at the stuff!”
“Curiosity killed the cat, Melody! Ever heard of that?”
“Of course I have! What, do you think I’m dumb?”
To this he had no reply, because I was a genius, there was no denying that. In fact that was the whole reason we were in this mess anyway.
