Physical Education

Ugh, I absolutely despise P.E. I mean, hardly anyone doesn't. Anyone that's a chick, that is. And those Presidential Fitness Test things, who seriously WANTS to run a mile. So, I, for one, walked it. I mean, my tummy was hurting anyway, and if I ran, I was going to throw up. And, considerately, I thought that the P.E. coach wouldn't want to clean up my puke, so I walked it. Every last step.
Anyway, usually, when we have some not-really-required-that-you-have-to-play-because-they-like-it-better-when-you-don't game, my friends and I find other ways to occupy our time. And I suggest you use them, too.

  • Human Knot: It's actually a pretty fun way to waste time, and it sure beats actually WORKING OUT anytime.
Basically, you need at least four people to make it fun, which is usually how many people we use. Everyone put their hands in the middle, and grab someone's arm, but not one close to you. Then, try and dip and duck your heads until your arms make a circle. This may involve some, well, LOTS of grunting as arms are pulled, joints are twisted, and necks are bent. What fun!
  • Asking Random People Random Questions: Ah, my all-time favorite. It really helps you come out of your shell, and you learn to be bold.
So, basically, it's pretty self-explanatory. Your friends come up with random questions, pick the random people, and you have to ask away! Remember, the more random the question, the funnier the person's reaction will be, and you and your friends can go away to a discreet corner and giggle.
So, our idea, my friends and I, was to ask the question, "Hey, do you think garbage goes better in cups or bowls?" Well, the guys apparently don't like to be interrupted by their all-important competition. (It's not the World Series people!) And so I asked a guy that, and he told me to go somewhere that wasn't very nice. So, I tried to find someone else.
  • Pretending to Be Color-Blind: So, us chicks, we like to act super, mega, overdramatic sometimes. And this is a very fun exercise for that. 'Cause EVERYONE knows that girls care about what they wear, right?
So, what we do, we go up to a random person, most likely a guy, and say in the most distraught voice we can manage, "Oh, my gosh, I'm color-blind, and I forgot what color my shirt is! What is it again?" It works best when you don't have on solid colors, because, you know, guys aren't going to answer, without blinking, "Oh, it's floral." No. So it's funny when guys make totally wrong analyses. But, a little warning. Once, my friend had on one of those graphic iron-on tees that you get at all sorts of athletic tournaments. And, she asked this guy the color-blind question, and another one warned, "Don't look!" Because, just unfortunately, she had "BEAST" written across the... Let's say upper portion of her chest. So, chickititas, if you do do the Color-Blind Challenge, make sure that you don't have something that exactly stands out on the upper portion of your shirt. Otherwise, enjoy.
  • Truth or Lie: Now and then, when we get tired of going up to strangers, we group in our own little corner, and play this little game of ours.
Basically, you state something, and the others have to guess if it's a truth or lie. Between us four, it's hilarious, thanks to our eccentric families and selves. Examples include:
"Truth or Lie? One time, when I was little, with a 101 fever, my mom left me with my dad, just to buy a computer at some sale."
    "Lie?"
    "Truth."
    "Wow."
"Truth or Lie? Once, my brother had a 105 fever, and he started crying, saying that bugs were crawling in him."
    "...Truth?"
    "Yup."
    (There's a reason I don't mention names.)

Anyway, I hope you end up using some of those time wasters. Meanwhile, I was thinking how, in middle school and up, you have to change for gym, with gym shorts and t-shirts. Well, I recommend for the t-shirts, the baggier the better, because that way it gives your skin room to breathe, and your gonna need it if, and forbid it, your coach actually makes you fun a mile. But, for the shorts, I know that I myself have trouble finding some cute shorts, so I found these for you. I absolutely ADORE the pink and green colors on the Tempo Track. They're really cute. And the purple and heaven blue ones. But Nike can get a bit expensive, so I found some passively cute Puma ones, too. Hope you like them!

  1. Wow! What a coincidence! Me and my friends play those games too! Except me and my friend MB play this one called dead body. Its so much fun! How to play: hideout in the girls restroom *air conditioned, smells somewhat decent, and quiet* and find the biggest stall. Position yourself in the best dead body pose you imagin, then wait for a person to come in and see you. Make sure to get a close up on their face(;
